Our Mission
Our Vision
The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) Bangladesh is dedicated to advancing the fields of prosthetics, orthotics, and rehabilitation in Bangladesh by upholding the highest standards of professional practice, education, and ethics.
Our mission is to empower prosthetists and orthotists to deliver responsible, effective, and evidence-based care within their defined scope of practice. We strive to promote professional standards, advocate for recognition and regulation of the profession, and support the development of structured service delivery systems across the country.
ISPO Bangladesh is committed to ensuring clarity in professional roles, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration among rehabilitation professionals, and strengthening partnerships with government, academic, and international organizations to provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care for all.
Our vision is to be the leading voice for prosthetics and orthotics in Bangladesh, fostering a healthcare and rehabilitation system where prosthetists and orthotists are recognized as essential, autonomous professionals.
ISPO Bangladesh envisions a future in which prosthetic and orthotic practitioners have the legal authority and professional freedom to assess, design, prescribe, and deliver assistive devices and rehabilitation services independently, in full alignment with the Bangladesh Rehabilitation Council (BRC) Act, 2018.
We aspire to ensure that prosthetic and orthotic services across Bangladesh are accessible, evidence-based, and seamlessly integrated within the national healthcare system — empowering individuals with disabilities to live with independence, dignity, and improved quality of life.
